We do not use information submitted through our Book a Demo form to automatically enrol you in a marketing mailing list.

4. SmarterDemo as a service provider
Our customers use the SmarterDemo platform to create and manage digital customer journeys. Where personal data is processed through the platform on behalf of a customer, that customer will generally determine the purposes for which the personal data is processed and act as the data controller. SmarterDemo will process that personal data on the customer’s behalf and in accordance with our contractual obligations and the customer’s instructions.
Depending on how a customer configures and uses SmarterDemo, information processed through the platform may be anonymised or may include personal data. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their collection and use of personal data through SmarterDemo complies with applicable data protection law, including providing appropriate privacy information to individuals.
If you are an individual interacting with SmarterDemo through one of our customers and have a question about how that customer uses your personal data, you should normally contact that organisation directly.
5. Sharing personal data
We do not sell personal data.
We may share personal data where necessary with:
cloud hosting, database, storage and infrastructure providers;
communications providers supporting services such as email, SMS and messaging;
analytics, monitoring, security and technical service providers;
integration providers where a customer chooses to use an integrated service;
professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and insurers;
regulators, authorities or law enforcement bodies where required by law; and
a purchaser, investor or other relevant party in connection with a proposed or completed corporate transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Where a service provider processes personal data on our behalf, we take appropriate steps to ensure that the data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.
6. Hosting and international transfers
SmarterDemo uses third-party cloud and infrastructure providers to deliver its platform. This includes Amazon Web Services (AWS), with AWS services used by SmarterDemo hosted in its London (eu-west-2) region in the United Kingdom. Other infrastructure and service providers may process or store information in the United Kingdom or other countries, depending on the service being provided.
Where personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we take steps designed to ensure that appropriate safeguards are used in accordance with applicable data protection law.
7. Data security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful loss, alteration, disclosure, access or misuse. Access to systems and information is controlled and SmarterDemo maintains security practices across its application, infrastructure and operational processes. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, but we regularly review our approach to protecting information and our systems.

Where SmarterDemo processes personal data on behalf of a customer, retention and deletion may also be governed by that customer’s instructions and our agreement with them.

request deletion of your personal data;

Where SmarterDemo processes personal data solely on behalf of one of our customers, we may refer your request to, or ask you to contact, the relevant customer as the controller.
